Signing Update and Mercury Rising for Pre-Order

signingDon’t forget to visit me at Barnes and Noble on October 18th! The official event listing is on their website here.

There will be books available at the store if you don’t already have them. Also, first 25 people to come see me will get an exclusive sneak preview of the first few chapters of Mercury Rising, along with a coupon to use toward the ebook when it releases on Halloween! I hope to see you there!

Speaking of Mercury Rising, it is now available for Pre-Order at Breathless Press, and you can add it to your Goodreads shelves.

Also, I want to say thank you to those who have contacted me about The Vanishing to tell me they enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun writing that one, and your kind words mean a lot. 🙂

The Vanishing is on sale now!

“‘Twas brillig and the slithy toves/did gyre and gimble in the wabe”

The Vanishing 453x680It’s finally here! If you haven’t snagged a copy of Wonderland Tales from the Breathless Press site (and you totally should regardless), The Vanishing is now available digitally for a great price! ($0.99 regularly, but is 50% off at BP this month!)

Why should you read it? Why should your friends read it? What is this nonsense?

Well, I will tell you.

Breathless Press had this great idea of having its in-house authors write short stories based on the works of Lewis Carroll. It is no secret that I have a love for Wonderland. One of the reasons my pen name has the last name of Lewis is because one of the most influential authors in my life has been Lewis Carroll. Also, I collect Cheshire Cats…it’s a thing. It sorta looks like I built him a shrine in my living room (the family doesn’t talk about it).Devrel

The Vanishing takes elements from the Alice books, with primary focus on the poem, “Jabberwocky,” and a non-Alice poem that uses similar creatures and styles called, “The Hunting of the Snark.” Wonderland characters and themes and settings are used, but the story isn’t about Alice. This isn’t your childhood Wonderland, yet it holds the nostalgia from that at the same time.Gareth

Yes, it is a romance. But no where near as steamy as the Satyr novels. This one is more sweet romance.

If you have never read my books before because the satyrs make you wary, give it a shot. If you have read my books before, you will enjoy the mini adventure of Cadence and Gareth’s journey through the Tulgy Wood to meet with the Red Queen.

As of now, I have it listed as a stand alone title. If there is enough demand I *might* be FrontWonderlandRBGpersuaded to do a follow up after I finish Melancton’s book, my dystopian novel, and my titme-travel novella which are already on my plate. *studies nails* Something tells me there will be a little bit of a demand after you reach the end. But we will see. All in due time, my lovelies.

Meanwhile, if you enjoy The Vanishing and want to check out the other 13 books in the Wonderland Tales collection by the rest of the A-MAZING authors, they are on the BP site and wherever ebooks are sold. Or you can hop to the limited edition hardback and get this collector’s item. All the authors have pre-signed them with personal messages to the readers.

Furthermore, I am hosting a Facebook release party today at 5pm EST. Stop on by!

Happy Reading!

Well, Lookie Here…

I’m kinda freaking out!

BN1…But in a good way.

Two weeks ago, I wandered into my local Barnes & Noble store and asked them to stock my book. Not only did they order copies without blinking (though they did give me an official form and told me if I want it stocked normally, I have to go through the regular procedure) but they set me up for a book signing on October 18th. (more info on that to come).BN3

I had just gone with a friend to see Guardians of the Galaxy (which I loved) and we stopped into B&N and there it is, Wicked Satyr Nights, on the new release shelf right next to Lora Leigh and underneath titles by JR Ward and Sherrilyn Kenyon, among so many other recognizable names. I took pictures. I petted it. I got strange looks from shoppers that weren’t close enough to hear my conversation with my friend. And then I glanced down at the other end of the next shelf…

BN2UNDER THE SATYR MOON! The book I have labored over since before WSN was in the booky flesh in Barnes and Freaking Noble, just hanging out next to Debbie Macomber.

I’ve died, y’all. I’ve gone full-Southern and pulled out a “y’all.” *faints*

*swoons*

I must be dreaming this, surely.BN5

Mercury Rising Cover Art

I was trying to wait until after “The Vanishing” to share the artwork, but you know me: I can’t stand it!

Mercury Rising is the first of three novellas following mini-adventures Hermes takes part of between the Cursed Satyroi novels. This one takes place a few months after Under the Satyr Moon, and overlaps the first few chapters of Satyr from the Shadows.

Without further ado…

“The Vanishing” blurb & final hours of Goodreads giveaways!

First up, we have a blurb, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve been rather secretive about the story thus far, but feel free to rejoice! The blurb for “The Vanishing” is below:

What happens when the hero who saved Wonderland from the destruction of the famed The Vanishing 453x680Jabberwock needs to find a worthy paramour before the Red Queen picks one for him? Devrel, the last of the Cheshire cats, has the perfect solution. He’ll just pluck one from the human world and gift her to him for his un-birthday.

Realizing her friends were playing a joke on her, Cadence is heading home when she sees the cat smiling at her. Next thing she knows, she’s in Wonderland and in the arms of a handsome man who thinks she’s slightly unhinged upon meeting her. Intrigued by Gareth, Cadence makes an offer to act as his companion in exchange for his protection as they journey from the Tulgy Wood to the Red Kingdom—a simple solution which endangers both of their hearts as the castle looms in the distance.

The Vanishing & WSN Giveaway

I am currently in the middle of edits for my short story “The Vanishing.” Still can’t give many details about the story, but I do have release dates!

The eBook standalone version of the short story will be available August 22, 2014!

However, if you are a collector of all things Wonderland, or would rather grab “The Vanishing” and the other Wonderland short stories (flirts) in print, you can get it in Hardback or Paperback August 1, 2014! Yup. You can get them all at the beginning of the month, or collect them individually throughout August. 😀

Also, with UtSM’s Goodreads giveaway generating interest in the book, I decided to do a quick one for WSN as well.

Book Signing in February!

My first booked public appearance! So exciting.

10452847_562700937183837_1605497046631964704_o and kinda terrifying.

LOL I will be attending Coastal Magic Convention in Daytona Beach, Florida February 5-9. The signing is Saturday, the 7th, and is free to the public. Books will be available to purchase or you can bring your own.

I missed the window to being one of the featured authors on the panels and meet & greets, but I will be around the con as a guest, so if you decide to go, come find me! 😀

Print, Wonderland, and Hermes, Oh My!

It has been extremely crazy for this author so far this year. Work tried to kill me. Edits tried to bury me. And my writing, well…I am not as far ahead of the game as I’d like to be this year, but I got a good bit done. It’s been exciting as far as new releases go so far. WSN went to print in January and Ravaged: Vol 2 released the same month. UtSM released in April and…..

IT WILL BE IN PRINT IN TWO WEEKS!UndertheSatyrMoon_200x300

*cough* yes. Under the Satyr Moon didn’t have to wait a year like Pan did, it is already going to print. I am really excited about it. I may pet my copy creepily while cackling like the wicked witch. On July 11 it will be available in print for everyone to fondle…er…read. While I am still writing away on Melancton’s book, there will be some goodies to sink your teeth into in the mean time.

Next up is a short story (8500ish words long, very short and to the point) called “The 10366176_650066698417165_6045609086661628559_nVanishing.” It is based off Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, and “The Hunting of the Snark,” all frabjous works by Lewis Carroll. I can’t give you many deets on it just yet, but I will say the Cheshire cat, Red Queen and Hatter all make appearances. However, the H/h are mostly original. Though the hero was mentioned in Through the Looking Glass…sorta. This one is a sweet romance rather than the steamy material you are used to with the satyrs. I am really excited about it though as the Wonderland stories are favorites of mine, and those of you who know me personally know I collect Cheshire cats and Wonderland stuff like it is going out of style. Seriously, one day I will be the basis for a Wonderland episode of Hoarders (hopefully it doesn’t get to that point…)

Anyway, “The Vanishing” is one of many short stories (BP calls them Flirts) based on Wonderland that are coming out in August to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Breathless Press. Expect a big surprise regarding the Wonderland stories to be announced later. *wink wink*

The first novella in the Adventures of Hermes series was submitted to my editor this month.  It is one of three parts that follow everyone’s favorite Olympian as he reconnects Antiquity God : Hermes/Mercury - Greece/Romewith his former flame, Hybris, and acts as a companion series to the Cursed Satyroi. It can be read on its own, but does contain spoilers to the Satyroi novels and does overlap scenes in the series through different POVs. One scene from Melancton’s book in particular will be seen in a completely different light in the Hermes novella, and no I will not elaborate on that. 😉

I am hoping I can get that to you all in December, but it all comes down to the publisher. *crossing fingers I have news to share soon*

And that’s it for now. I am off to get promo material for the print copy of Under the Satyr Moon to my publisher, but I hope everyone has a great week and a fantastic summer!
